It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Symmetry Star, I suppose because I tend to get more style inspiration from real people. It occurred to me late last night that I should do a post on Marilyn Monroe. I hadn’t posted sooner as it’s like saying how Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O have great style (duh!) but just because Marilyn is an obvious choice doesn’t mean she should be ignored. My fascination started around age 12, and eventually branched into collecting photos and calendars, storing them in a scrapbook along with torn out magazine pages of my other favorites Drew Barrymore and Liv Tyler. Marilyn will never be forgotten, that is for sure.

ohh, Marilyn was wonderful. Have you seen the new ad campaign for.. i don’t know, something… where Scarlett Johannson is dressed up to look like Marilyn? It’s not bad.

Marilyn was the first to pose for Playboy magazine…she said all she had on was the radio!!
- she was married to Joe Domaggio, one of the greatest baseball players ever.
- her film locations included Banff and Niagara Falls
- what about her “Happy Birthday” she sang to President Kennedy…wow!!
- who thinks she was murdered and did not OD?
… the mystery continues to this day.
